This vintage birdcage was given to me by my cousin Debra - isn't it wonderful!!!  She has been cleaning out things she doesn't want or need and getting ready to sell and move.  We have both collected for years, many good times going junkin together!  (partners in crime - she calls us serial collectors - lol!)  I added the bird candle and a few shirting buttons, all ready for a new home now.
This sweet little bird is so quite and makes no mess, I used to raise birds but gave it up due to breathing problems.  I still love birds but now I just fill my outside feeders.

I finally found the Flea Market Style magazine after quite a quest.  I was in Sherman, looked at Hobby Lobby, Lowes, and Book A Million - no luck.  Next day was in Ardmore, looked at Hobby Lobby and Hastings, no luck.  Here at home looked at Wal-mart, Tom Thumb, and CVS, no luck.  Today was with the husband standing in line at Tractor Supply and there it was - on their endcap - GO FIGURE!!!  Congrats to Theresa /Garden Atnqs Vintage for your well deserved place in the magazine!
Oh PLEASE let this be my bedroom!!!  I just fell in love with this room - if you haven't purchased the Country Almanac magazine yet, you surely need to take a peek at it - it is loaded with wonderful pictures.

Timely Accessories - I have been playing with old watch faces, lots of fun doing these.
I picked up this cart at a yard sale, decided to make a liner for it using an old table cloth and some new upholstery type fabric.  I don't care much for the plastic type liners that come with them.
This little chest had those old nursery decals - I decided to try painting it and added the numbers like I have seen others do.  It was a bit trying, I had never stenciled before, my husband thought it was dry and ran his hand across it - ooppps, lets try that again.  At last I finished it up.

Silver looks so pretty against an ivory background, a little tarnish and age just add character.
I can't look at a needlepoint piece without thinking of how many hours of love someone put into it.  The sweet little baby shoes worn oh so many years ago by someones darling little toddler.

I married a couple of pieces here, the mirror was a piece long seperated from the chest??? and the bottom belonged to a sewing machine cabinet.  I really like when things can be put together and given new life as opposed to being thrown out.  Have I mentioned I am ready for spring, I planted seeds today in little pots trying to get a head start.  I am soooo ready to see the bulbs that I put into the ground in fall.

I just love these little small trinkets, I can't resist digging through a basket of buttons or sparkly little what have yous.  I have been playing with watch parts lately, went to Goodwill to find some old non working watches, they were $5.00 each - non working - WHAT?????  Come on garage sales!

It seems I have a glare every time I took this pic, but the valentines are so sweet - wanted to share them with you.  Thought the OXO tin fit right in with the sweetheart theme.  I love old cards of any kind, but these old valentines are especially fun.  I put my little valentines in the book with the red ribbon, but these large one call for attention!  I hope everyone's sweetheart treats them special.

I picked this burlap bag up at the thrift shop for a quarter, decided to fix it up for a book/tote bag.  Was really quick and I had made the flower for my stash some time back.  If the snow and ice don't melt I might actually get something accomplished.
I ran across this pair of baby shoes that both our boys wore - that was more than a few years ago.  They would neither one care to have these and so I decided to mess around with them for myself.  I'm not quite done - I want to put some type of clip at the back and attach each of their baby pics.  Another work in progress..............  Does anyone ever completely catch up with all of their projects?

Wonder where this case has traveled.....  Wish the weather was nice enough to take a little trip, we have ice and snow here, and possibility of more on Friday.  Don't know how you like the cold temps but for myself - I yearn for the spring!  I so look forward to the spring flowering bulbs and bushes.  I can't wait for the wildflowers along the side of the road, I've seen about enough of dead grass.
This little suitcase was just too plain, it was just calling for me to do something.  I like how it turned out.
